Interoute Selects and Deploys Amdocs OSS to Support Unified ICT Services for Business Customers

Amdocs inventory and planning solutions enable accurate, efficient network service fulfillment, improved time to market and enhanced customer experience; Amdocs OSS deployment goes live in just five months

ST. LOUIS on 31 January 2011

Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems, today announced Interoute Communications has selected and deployed an inventory and network planning solution from Amdocs Operational Support Systems (OSS) to support more rapid deployment of its Unified ICT (information communication technology) cloud-based services.

Interoute is the owner of Europe’s largest and most advanced next generation network, encompassing more than 55,000 km of fibre and connecting 100 cities in 29 countries. Interoute provides International Enterprises and Service Providers advanced Information Communications Technology (ICT) and network solutions from the ground to the cloud. Its Unified ICT approach delivers integrated voice and data solutions for connectivity, communication and computing services.

The Amdocs solution provides Interoute with an integrated, accurate view of its European network while also delivering a planning environment in which new network services can be planned, developed and tested before being deployed on the live network. In addition, the solution enables Interoute to optimize the way it reserves network assets to ensure their availability to fulfill future services, and helps maintain an accurate inventory through synchronization. The Amdocs solution will enable Interoute to improve fault resolution time and speed fulfillment of services, thereby enhancing the customer experience.

“Interoute is focused on providing customers with resilient, high performance network and cloud computing based solutions critical for today’s digital businesses” said Chris Pinnock, director of the software development centre at Interoute Communications. “In this environment changes to the network need to be made quickly and efficiently in order to meet customer expectations without disrupting existing services. Visibility of the entire network and automated planning processes are essential, particularly as demand for our Unified ICT services grow.” Interoute is an existing Amdocs customer and has deployed multiple Amdocs OSS products for network resource management and planning.
