Mobile boom in emerging markets takes Interoute to one billion voice minutes a month

Interoute sees 40 per cent growth of voice traffic in the first 6 months of 2011

Interoute Communications Ltd, owner and operator of Europe’s largest cloud services platform, today announced voice traffic from its mobile partners across its cloud infrastructure, IP based Virtual Voice Network (VVN) has grown 40 per cent in the first 6 months of 2011 breaking the one billion minutes a month barrier. Demand for mobile in emerging markets has driven the increase of international mobile calls into Europe, with major operators from India, Russia and the Middle East using Interoute as their European voice network.
