Stonesoft, a leading provider of integrated network security solutions, has announced the launch of its Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) solution on the Interoute CloudStore appliance marketplace. Stonesoft’s NGFW solution works on Interoute’s Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) based Virtual Data Centre, giving businesses affordable and easy access to enterprise-grade security for their hosted applications and services.

Interoute’s Virtual Data Centre can be scaled much faster than traditional physical platforms and has the flexibility to be provisioned as either a private or public cloud. The Interoute CloudStore provides an online marketplace for enterprises to buy applications that have been tested and approved to work on Interoute’s Virtual Data Centre. This gives companies the ability to provision and control computing and storage infrastructure on demand, using a Pay-as-You-Go model. Additionally, users can select the city they want their data to be hosted and stored in, which helps companies comply with stringent European data protection regulations. They can also transfer data and appliances between Virtual Data Centres for free in five different countries, using Interoute’s network.

Ash Patel, regional director, Stonesoft, commented: “We are delighted to be a chosen firewall and IPS security partner for Interoute and are pleased to be launching our Next Generation Firewall solution on Interoute’s Virtual Data Centre. The solution will offer today’s enterprises unmatched levels of security, availability and manageability, as well as provide customers with the scale and flexibility they require in order to deliver their own services in an efficient manner. We look forward to building a long term successful partnership with Interoute.”

Matthew Finnie, CTO of Interoute, added: “Protecting your organisation from cyber threats has become crucial to the successful running of everyday business. By combining Stonesoft’s Next Generation Firewall with Interoute Virtual Data Centre, available on Interoute CloudStore, we are making this sophisticated security software easy to provision on demand and incredibly fast to implement.”
