Interoute wins at Capacity Global Carrier Awards 2013

Interoute recognised for innovation of its product portfolio and network expansion

London on 26 November 2013

Interoute, owner operator of Europe’s largest cloud services platform, has been named Best European Product or Service at the 2013 Capacity Global Carrier Awards. Interoute received the award at the Capacity Global Carrier Awards at the Hotel Okura in Amsterdam on 19 November, where it was commended for the launch of its HD video conference solution, Interoute SmartPoint.

Interoute impressed the judges with its continued investment in its network infrastructure, and commitment to adding innovative technologies to meet the ever increasing demand for new capacity. The launch of 100G solutions across its Pan-European network and the expansion of its cloud service infrastructure both drew attention from Capacity’s judges, but it was the launch of Interoute SmartPoint, that clinched the award.

Interoute SmartPoint reduces the complexity involved in deploying enterprise video conferencing by integrating all of the key elements required into one plug and play solution.

Gareth Williams, CEO of Interoute, comments: “We are delighted to have our innovation in enterprise and wholesale services recognised at Capacity’s Global Carrier Awards. This award underscores our commitment to providing enterprises and global carriers with outstanding performance and innovative solutions.”

The Global Carrier Awards 2013 attracted a record 150 entries and saw over 300 of the most influential industry executives attend the evening.
