CDNetworks expands presence across EMEA

London, 20 September 2016 – CDNetworks, a global content delivery network (CDN) and cloud security provider, today announces the launch of its EMEA subsidiary. The new division, based in London, will bring together both technical experts and a dedicated support team, to allow the company to better support its customers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Along with the new EMEA subsidiary, CDNetworks has also opened a sales office in Munich to further accelerate its growth across the region. CDNetworks helps improve the speed, reliability and security of websites, web and mobile applications, anywhere in the world. With more brands in EMEA seeing a consistent and reliable global online presence as imperative, CDNetworks ensures brands offer unparalleled web experiences – especially in hard to reach markets like China, where internet access is often difficult.

Helping brands with web performance in China is a particular specialism of CDNetworks. For western brands, launching websites and applications in China is especially difficult due to the Great Firewall, a unique internet filtering system that restricts online access, blocks certain types of content and can cause unacceptably long load times. As one of only a handful of CDN providers with local presence, CDNetworks understands the challenges this market poses for brands, and how they can overcome these to successfully deliver web content to the region. It provides its customers with advice on regulations, helps them obtain the necessary website licenses, and its cloud-based infrastructure speeds up the delivery of websites and apps.

CDNetworks helps brands across an array of industries, including business services, retail and ecommerce, education, IT, manufacturing, media and entertainment, online gaming, online trading as well as travel and tourism.

“The internet has completely revolutionised the way we do business, so for brands, it is crucial to have a global, online presence. But for many western companies, launching a website in hard to reach markets and maintaining consistently high performances in all territories has proven impossible,” said Alex Nam, Managing Director, CDNetworks EMEA. “Leaning on our experience of helping brands overcome the unique challenges that particular geographies such as China present, we have already worked with companies throughout EMEA to successfully expand their online presence. Our new subsidiary in the UK, as well as our new sales office in Germany, will allow us to continue this momentum of measurable success and improvement, and better support new and existing customers. Furthermore, we also have plans to open another sales office in France, which will further solidify our presence across EMEA.”

Along with improving the web performance of websites and applications, CDNetworks also provides security services to its customers. CDNetworks combines the latest security technologies with its cloud-based CDN to ensure websites are both efficient and secure. Its Cloud Security offering provides behavioural application firewall technology as well as protection against Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks, to ensure brands are safe from cyber-attacks. CDNetworks has also been PCI certified for a sixth year in a row.
